One day, Dr Mixit came up with a pill. „It’s a wonder pill,“ he told his students. „You swallow it and you can do anything. Run fast, be clever, even fly.“ „Can I try one?“ his student, Peter, asked.
„No,“ Dr Mixit said, „I still have to experiment a bit. Maybe in a year.“
But Peter didn’t want to wait. When Dr Mixit wasn’t in the room, he took one of the pills and swallowed it …
…When he swallowed the pill, Peter didn’t feel very good. He was one time bigger, then suddenly smaller, and so on. But then it stopped. Peter looked normal, but two things were different: he had a fat brain and shoes with rockets.
Peter looked at his body and smiled. Then Dr. Mixit came into the room and screamed loudly. He couldn’t believe what he saw! Peter had swallowed the wonder pill! „Why did you swallow the wonder pill?!“ Dr. Mixit asked. Peter answered nervously: “You said these things about the pill and I couldn’t wait another year.“
So the doctor thought, “He swallowed it, so I can test it!” The doctor tested it and the pill made Peter clever, fast, and strong and yes, he could fly two metres high. The doctor sold some of these pills and in the year 2052 everybody had the pill.
And Peter and his wife had a wonder-child.

When he woke up again, he was in hospital on the floor. He wanted to get up, but he couldn’t, because he was chained to the floor. He looked at his leg and was in shock. His legs weren’t legs, but they were ostrich’s legs. He looked at a mirror and got a second shock: his head was twice as big as his normal head. The third shock was when he saw that he had wings. He thought, “I should have listened to my teacher.“ He fell asleep a second time.
Suddenly he woke up. He looked normal again. It was only a dream.
Then the next lesson started. After half an hour Peter got a headache, stomachache, a pain in his legs and a pain i his arms. But the worst thing was that he became always smaller and smaller. In the end he was as big as a finger. The other children began to laugh, but the teacher didn’t know what was wrong. So she asked the children, “What’s the matter?“
But the children laughed louder and suddenly Max shouted: “Look at Peter!“ When the teacher saw him, she got really scared, but she was also angry and asked: “Peter, what are you doing?“
Peter spoke frankly: “I ate a pill from Dr Mixit.“ The teacher wasn’t very happy, but she asked the children if anyone had a clue. Just at this moment the door openedand Dr Mixit came in. He said: “I’ve forgotten my pills.“
Suddenly all children shouted: “Help us! Peter swallowed a pill and now he is really little!“ Dr Mixit fortunately had a pill against the other pill. So Peter grew as big as he normally was.

WHEN DR MIXIT WASN’T IN THE ROOM, PETER TOOK ONE OF THE PILLS AND SWALLOWED IT. AT FIRST NOTHING HAPPENED, BUT SUDDENLY HE HAD A HEAD LIKE A CHIMPANZEE, A PAIR OF WINGS LIKE AN EAGLE AND TWO LEGS LIKE AN OSTRICH. HE LOOKED REALLY FUNNY NOW.
DR MIXIT SAW PETER AND LAUGHED LOUDLY,” THAT’S ONE SIDE EFFECT OF THE PILL! I’M SO SORRY PETER, I HAVEN’T GOT A RETURN PILL IN STORE!”
