Im Rahmen des Wahlpflichtfaches Englisch durften einige Schülerinnen und Schüler der 6. und 7. Klassen in Kooperation mit dem TOIHAUS Salzburg einen außergewöhnlichen Nachmittag erleben.

Mit viel Einsatz, Leidenschaft und Situationskomik entführte uns der Schauspieler und Regisseur Andreas Simma  in die Zeit von William Shakespeare und ließ dessen Welt lebendig werden. Mit der Technik des „physical theatre“ erlebten wir hautnah, wie ein Schauspieler mit Einsatz seines Körpers, seiner Stimme und nur wenigen Requisiten das große Theater auf die kleine Bühne bringen und die Zuschauer begeistern kann. Anschaulicher kann Shakespeare nicht sein!

„In our English lesson Mr. Simma, a professional actor, was invited to our classroom. We were told it wasn’t going to be about interactive acting but more about Shakespeare himself. We formed a circle and watched Simma act different characters . I found it interesting to watch how loud, funny and even creepy it got as he put on faces or masks for each role; also he was using old English which made it very authentic. We got told that Shakespeare made up characters that the people back then could relate to easily, and that he was one of the first writers to do so. I personally think that that must have been his way to success because the lower stands have never seen theater of that kind. Back then only people of high standing could play in dramas. All in all, the theater project was nice because it was something different. (Christian, 6A)“
